Top Ten Actions Steps to Achieve 50/50 in 2020 from Princeton University's conference on Women in Theatre
Randy Gener is the Nathan Award–winning editor, writer, critic and curator in New York City.
He is Founder of a global cross-media project, in the Culture of One World (CultureofOneWorld.org) that tracks and engages in global politics, international collaboration, cultural diplomacy and restorative narratives in the public interest. He is the US Editor of Critical Stages (criticalstages.org), the World News Editor of The Journalist.ie (thejournalist.ie), a contributor to NPR, and the Broadway editor of the New York Theatre Wire (nytheatre-wire.com), which he co-founded.
For his editorial work and critical essays as the first-ever senior editor of American Theatre magazine, Gener received numerous awards, including the George Jean Nathan Award, the highest accolade for dramatic criticism in the United States; the Deadline Club Award from the New York chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists; and NLGJA Journalist of the Year. He is also a five-time winner of the annual North American Travel Journalists Association Awards competition for excellence in travel writing.
An artist, Gener is the author of the plays Love Seats for Virginia Woolf, Wait for Me at the Bottom of the Pool, A Parliament of the Streets, and other theatre works.
His conceptual installation, in the garden of One World, debuted this year at La MaMa La Galleria in New York.
